Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday said that the government would take a decision soon to resolve the problems of landless squatters. Receiving a memorandum submitted by the CPN (Maoist Centre) aligned All Nepal Landless Squatters’ Association, PM Dahal, who is also Chairman of the Maoist Centre, said that he directed all mechanisms concerned not to intervene in the settlements of landless squatters without first finding other alternatives, said Secretary and PM’s Deputy Personal Secretary Mana Hari Timalsena. PM Dahal is said to have stated that no any sort of undue interference should take place in the lives of the landless squatters as there are no other options to manage them due to monsoon. The PM also said that he prioritises education, health and employment of the squatters. Also, the association has demanded that land be distributed to landless squatters as per geographical standards and permanent solutions be sought to their problems through the High Level Commission. Their other demands include reliefs to the landless squatters affected by the earthquake of April 25, 2015 and the management of basic infrastructure for resolving the problems faced by the squatters. - See more at: http://www.kantipurvdo.com/videos/sidha-kura-pm-sanga-2/#sthash.LNH91NWu.dpuf
