The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered police furnish an explanation for not registering the complaint filed by relatives of decesead notorious gangster Dinesh Adhikari alias Chari.A single bench of Justice Gopal Parajuli was responding to a petition filed by Adhikari’s elder brother Dhurva. Dhurva argued that his brother’s murder was extra judicial and that the Home Ministry and police administration refused to investigate the incident.Police had earlier refused to register a complaint by the Adhikari family. Gangster Adhikari was gunned down at Bhimdhunga, 7 km from Sitapaila, in the Capital on August 6.
